These beautiful waist-beads are handmade and customized in Ghana. Waist-beads have been worn by black royalty for body adornment, spirituality, weight measure, healing, love, and confidence. There are several different ways to wear your waist beads. 
 
This string-tie style is designed for a one size fits all mechanism. After recieving your new waist beads, place the beads around your waist in the location you want them to be worn (without sucking in), then tie them in a double knot to secure them. Be sure not to tie too tight, waist beads should be worn loosely. Next, cut excess string (and beads) then discard (or use as you wish). Then, carefully burn the double knot to add extra security to the knot (optional).  Waist beads can be worn right about the hips, right at the navel or above navel.
